Confirmation celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit. It incorporates us more deeply into Christ and “seals” us with the Holy Spirit.
 

Confirmation is held once a year in our parish. Your child will take a Confirmation name and it should be the name of a saint. They will also require a sponsor. The sponsor must be over 16 years of age and have received the Sacraments of initiation (i.e. Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) and be a practising Catholic.

Prayer is an essential part of preparing to be confirmed.

Please remember the young people in prayer and we encourage their parents and families to accompany them to Mass every weekend.
